Guoqing Jin

Guoqing is currently a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His master's research focused on functional sensing materials, where he developed a nanocellulose/carbon nanotube aerogel-based humidity sensor. He also worked on photothermal membranes for solar-driven water evaporation and purification. Before starting his PhD, he worked in industry as an embedded engineer, developing sensor products. Now he is committed to applying his background in sensing and materials to water quality problems, with a focus on the detection of contaminants of emerging concern.
